We spent the weekend before my birthday in lovely NYC! We saw a lot of shows in a short amount of time and had a lot of great food! The first day we were in town the weather was perfect for a stop off in Central Park.
(click on photos to see them bigger)We ate a lot of Pinkberry, something that we used to get when we lived in LA.
Our first show was Promises, Promises with Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes and it was a great show! It was so fun to see Kristen in a show after seeing her in concert several times.
After the show we waited for autographs, it is my new favorite thing to do after shows!
We even talked to Kristin for a little bit about seeing her in LA a few times, she was so nice and friendly, it made my day!
Day 2 we did some walking around and stopped in Rockefeller Plaza. The ice skating rink was still up and so were these fun flower displays.
That night we saw the play Lend Me a Tenor, which was hilarious! It had Justin Bartha, Tony Shalhoub and Anthony LaPaglia in it, and again we waited for autographs, they were all very nice.
And the last show we saw was American Idiot which is based on the Green Day album. It was an amazing show! Definitely one that has been added to my favorites list! It was fun to talk to all the cast members after the show and take some pictures.
It was a great weekend and probably one of my favorite trips to the city!
