Late Night Blogging

So it's been a few weeks since I last blogged, it's hard to get back to it after being out of town for a week. We went to northern California to visit my Grandparents and go to the fair. It was a lot of fun to see family and friends we only get to see a few times a year. I will share some of those pictures later this week.

I have been working hard on trying to finish up my Lithuania/Germany trip album, since it will be 10 years next summer that I went on this trip. (Where did that time go?!?) I finally printed some pictures that one of our chaperons took to complete the story of our time there. It was so nice to look through his photos and see things I had forgotten and moments that I did not get pictures of but am so glad to have now.

Here are a few of the layouts I made last month!
We went to a place called the Hill of Witches on the coast near the Baltic Sea that was filled with wood carvings. It was beautiful, and we all had a lot of fun posing with the carvings.

It was nice to find pictures that I was actually in, so I had to make sure to include those in my scrapbook too. I will share a few more later in the week. Hope you all are having a great week so far!

Lollapalooza a Weekend of Awesome!

So this photo pretty much sums up the entire weekend, having fun with random strangers and a huge crowd of people, throw in some great music and food and you have Lollapalooza!

Shannon was able to come out and I am so glad she did, we had a blast. We got to see all of our current favorite bands and discovered some new favorites too.

Some highlights:

Seeing Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
and Green Day
Watching bands with random celebs like TJ Thyne and Aaron Paul
seeing Mumford and Sons
and Arcade Fire was an amazing way to end the whole weekend. We also saw Lady Gaga, The Temper Trap, Switchfoot, and so many more I can't even remember! Hanging out with 80,000 of your closest friends and singing in the streets each night wasn't bad either. Definitely the best weekend ever!

Disneyland!

A few weeks ago I went to Disneyland with my Aunt and a friend of ours, we had a great time!

It also happened to be the 55th birthday of Disneyland while we were there and they had a ceremony to celebrate. They released 55 doves from the train station.
And lots and lots of Mickey shaped confetti!

It was a lot of fun.
We also saw the new World of Color show at California Adventure, it was wonderful!

It was a great trip that went by way too fast!

August Class Cards

I wanted to share the cards that I will be teaching everyone later this month in the A Muse Card Class at Craft Fancy. Info on how to sign up for class is here.

I had a lot of fun creating cards this month, I think the first one might be my favorite!
I wanted to use some different stamping techniques this time in class, so if you join us on August 30th you will learn 3 new techniques.

I was in a green mood this month, it felt like the perfect color combo for moving from summer into fall.
If you want to take this class, just call the store to sign up, hope to see you there!

Sometimes She Finishes Knitting Projects...

Happy August! This summer sure is flying by. Today I want to share a knitting project that I finished last month for my best friend Jen who just had the most adorable baby girl ever (as a proud Aunt, I tell this to everyone!). I wanted the blanket I made to be something special, so when my friend Jenni made this blanket, I knew I had to make one too.
The pattern is from the Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer 2010 magazine. If you are on ravelry, here is the link for all the pattern info.
It was a lot of fun to make and even more fun to give in person when I got to see them a few weeks ago!
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back with some layouts and cards soon!
