Just for Fun

Just for fun I made a layout about the elevator floor of the cruise ships we go on. At midnight the day is changed and it always surprises me when I get in one just a little after midnight that it has already been changed!

Christmas at Sea

A few years ago we took a cruise right before Christmas. I was so excited to see the ship all decorated, I took tons of pictures! Here are a few of those pictures on this layout.

Just Another Day in Paradise

Do you ever get an idea for something and then just have to try it as soon as possible? That was what happened for me with this layout. I wanted to created the bottom of the layout with the different patterns on the diagonal and kept adding little things until this layout was born.
I did a lot of hand stitching for this layout.
The picture is of my friends on a trip to Hawaii we took a few years ago. I found the picture after putting together most of the layout. The colors went together beautifully! I used the March Studio Calico kit for this and a few pieces from my stash. It makes me want to go back to Hawaii right away!

Sketch Inspired

I was really inspired by the this sketch on the Studio Calico blog for these two layouts. It was fun to try something different.
Do you like to use sketches or do you prefer to do your own thing?

Some recent layouts

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I saw Alice in Wonderland in Imax 3d over the weekend and loved it. Yesterday was a lazy day, worked on some projects and then watched the Oscars.

Now it is time to share some layouts that I have been working on over the past few months. I get to sharing these in galleries online and then I forget to come back and post them here on the blog. One day I will figure out this whole blogging thing!

Anyway, to the layouts! All of these photos are from my trip to Lithuania that I took the summer after I graduated from high school. I decided that as one of my goals this year, the book needed to get done!
I have been having a lot of fun exploring different styles lately as you can see from how different all of these layouts are.
I decided to use up my September kit from Studio Calico for the rest of this album and I love how well it went with the pages that I had already completed a few years ago.
This last layout was from a sketch challenge at the Studio Calico blog. They have a great sketch each Sunday and I am trying my best to do them all.
I am working on setting up my store on Etsy right now, and I hope to have some things listed by the end of the week!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

A New Year filled with New Projects!

I hope that this New Year has been a great one so far! I love the beginning of a new year with all of the excitement that it brings for new things to happen and changes to come. I have been busy creating things and I wanted to share a few of them with you right now.

This first layout I made using my September kit from Studio Calico which I am loving! I have been going through my pictures from my trip to Lithuania in 2001, trying to get the album all finished up. I figured since it has been almost 10 years I should probably finish the scrapbook already!
The second layout is also from the same kit and using some more of those pictures from Lithuania!
Lastly, I have been working on making a lot of cards with the big plans of selling them on etsy.com! I am hoping to have the store up and running by the end of the month and will give you all the details once everything is up! Here is a peek as to what I will be selling:

One more fun thing, my friend Jen sells yarn on etsy and has made a color that is named after my Mom and I, so be sure to check out here store!

I am a bad blogger.

But I have an excuse, it's not a good one but here it is anyway. I finally figured out how I want to scrapbook this year, and as you can see from the state of my scrap table and room below, it kind of took over last week.
It might look like a huge mess but I do know where everything is, so it can't be all that bad.
This is the layout that got me started. I began to go through our pictures from our January cruise and was inspired. I got about 5 layouts done this week which is more than I have done in a while.

I am on a roll now and am ready to finish all of the pictures from January and head onto the next month! And I promise to be a better blogger this week too!

A Little Sunshine on a Gray Day

It is gray and raining here today so I created a layout to brighten up things around here.  It is a picture that I took while we were on vacation in Florida in January at the beach.

A Layout

I started taking an on-line class this week from this girl, and I already love it! Today I made this layout using the ideas from class about creating your own patterned paper. So fun! I can't wait to see what is next in this class.
